The mission of Vail Gay Ski Week is to host a five day gay ski event that has a friendly, home-grown, fun, and exciting atmosphere that raises awareness on the behalf of the GLBT community; to offer a gay ski week that is affordable to everyone; to bring people of all ages from the GLBT communities from the Front Range to around the world, to the blue skies of Vail, Colorado.

Vail Gay Ski Week is different to other gay ski weeks! Imagine the best city bar scenes, relocated to the charm and beauty of Vail, without the high cost of other ski weeks. Experience the feel of a European village, but partnered with the world-renowned back bowls available at Vail Mountain. Not only will this five day event happen in the heart of Vail, but it will also be the most fun you have had in years! You will expand your horizons by making connections that will last year after year, and even into the sunny days and starry nights of our next summer "ski week", July 28- August 1, 2010.

Rocky Mountain Vacation Rentals is pleased to announce that the dates for Vail Gay Ski Week are January 27-31, 2010. The events will occur throughout local restaurants and venues all located in or nearby Vail Village. They are reaching out to the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community for the fun and festive event. The summer version of the event dates are also tentatively set for July 28- August 1, 2010.

Community reaction to the event has been overwhelmingly positive. Julia Niiro, Communications Manager, stated that, “Everybody is on board; the community is showing great support and excitement. We could not have a successful event without them, and this year’s event will be recognized in the same arena as the other nationally known gay ski events.” Events will include, but are not limited to group skiing, après ski events, a scavenger hunt, competitions, and more.
