map - gallery - website With street names like Camp, Man and Shotover Streets, Queenstown in New Zealand is the perfect place for a gay ski week. In September hundreds of GLBTs from Australia, New Zealand and around the world descend on Queenstown for a week of fun, boarding and skiing in many of New Zealand's best ski fields. The Pink Bus will take you directly from the base hotel to the slopes and return you to the après ski. There is something happening every night to keep you busy until all hours. Coronet Peak and The Remarkables are a short ride from Queenstown and offer all levels of skiing and boarding. Cardrona is an hours drive along the spectacular Crown Ridge Road where two express quads give you access to the whole mountain. Treble Cone is the other side of Wanaka, but well worth a visit. Watch out for the Keas. The Queenstown area is a great destination for non-skiers too with plenty of shopping, sight seeing and adventure to be had. The weeks features a wine tour, a dinner cruise to the beautiful Walter Peak, and parties for everyone.

Due to massive demand we are out early! As the host hotel was completely booked out this year and it looks like people do not want to miss out in 2011. So we have Earlybird package deals which are already flying out the door. Colder - what the?The first massive change we have to announce is the date. Due to the Rugby World Cup stealing our regular spot we have decided to let the rugby boys have it. However, it does make you wonder if some of the rugby teams actually asked for that date so they could fit in Gay Ski Week NZ at the same time. So, we have decided to for the first time in Gay Ski Week NZ history to move it right smack bang into the middle of winter. The dates are: 23-31 July 2011. |

Greetings! Well it's full steam ahead with 2009 upon us already and looking like a big year with the event growing, we are pleased to have appointed Vanessa as the new Event Co-ordinator to run things on the ground during the week, so we can get more skiing in by day and hosting by night. |
